My Hmong people have endured a long and treacherous journey. Our ancestors lost so much as a civilization - culture, traditions and language. Only a small amount of what they fought for is preserved today. Through the travels of our parents and grandparents as they made their way from Vietnam and Laos into Thailand they were able to preserve what little left there still was.
We as a people, have lost a great deal in this journey. Of one, the arts has diminished. We are fortunate that we still have our embroidery, our story cloths. The most important thing however, was not a single form of art rather a process normal to societies and civiliza
